Forward with Funding Class To Convene Fall 2019

Gorham Savings Bank has selected thirteen local businesses from an online application to participate in its upcoming Forward with Funding session in September. Forward with Funding is a hands-on workshop offered at no cost to Maine companies that are ready to take their business knowledge to the next level and feel more confident understanding their finances and the lending process.

Fall 2019 participants include:

  • Dewey’s Lumber
  • Escape Room
  • Farm Drop
  • Fyood Kitchen
  • Hemphill’s Horses, Feed and Saddles
  • Kinotek
  • LAW Calibration
  • Mill Cove Baking
  • New England Treads
  • Portland Container Company
  • Portland Explorer Tourism
  • Portland Pudgy
  • Windham Butcher Shop

Over a two-day course led by seasoned business consultants, Gerry Brown of Supply Chain Visions and Michelle Neujahr of Nu-yar, entrepreneurs will gain a better understanding of their finances, develop projections to meet their goals, and identify the right mix of financing/investment necessary to make it happen.

“When business owners better understand how all these pieces fit together, the odds for success increase remarkably,” said Gorham Savings Bank President and CEO Steve deCastro, “We’re happy to provide this educational opportunity to local entrepreneurs.”

The program combines hands-on guided exercises in marketing, finance, business planning, and human resource management with time for business owners to turn what they’ve learned into an actionable plan for growth. Learn more at gorhamsavings.bank/forward.
